The State of Washington sent out $1 checks to the 250,000 Food Stamp recipients in the state.
The director of the Community Services Division for the Department of Social and Health Services. Leo Ribas, says the checks mailed Feb. 17 trigger an additional $43 million in federal food benefits. They also connect recipients to an energy assistance program.
What ever, I myself received such a check along with that check I received another letter from Crime Victims Claims Manager Julie Perrotti. My name is Ric Castellanos

I do not want to get into my issues but want victims to know this, Crime Victims is bigger a joke than the One Dollar Check.
So trying to make this work I say that to all that received this One Dollar Check we do something Crime Victims won't and that is to donate this to th family of 13-year-old Alycia Nipp. Alycia was found dead in a Hazel Dell field early Sunday morning by her stepfather. Authorities have arrested a 30-year-old homeless man in connection with the death.
An account at Washington Mutual has been established for the benefit of Maranda Hannah, Alycia's mother.
A remembrance for 13-year-old Alycia Nipp is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, 3000 N.W. 119th St.
If Tears Could...
If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken.
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.
Are hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
